Action Plan For The Search Of European Business Financing
The consultancy company Auxilia, specialized in the socio-ecological transition of the territories.
Auxilia enjoys good recognition in France, but also wished to participate in European projects, plus to find potential partners beyond its borders.
Edenway relied on its knowledge of the European innovation ecosystem to support Auxilia in its approach, analyzing the set of national and European funding opportunities (H2020 programs, Interreg …) as well as the positioning and contacts already established by Auxilia.
Auxilia possesses a matrix that matches the funding opportunities and the projects to be financed, as well as a methodological guide detailing the operational mode to be implemented in order to increase its probability of obtaining funding, and to join consortiums.
Office Of European Projects
The medium-sized Catalan municipality of Sant Cugat del Vallès, which is very involved in the field of urban innovation.
The wish to realize innovative projects and to constitute a “Sant Cugat“ brand in order to be recognized in the European and international scene.
Edenway set up an alternative funding office for the City Council, ensuring two specific tasks:
– The detection of European and international funding opportunities and the drafting of technical offers.
– The management of projects of sustainable transformation in the city.
The topics covered for these projects were, among others: mobility, urban waste management, energy efficiency of buildings, open government, health, ICTs, youth, and sport.
Throughout two years of service, about 2.5 million euros were gathered to finance the projects of the city. Sant Cugat is regularly invited to participate in European consortiums, thanks to the recognition that it enjoys in the European scene.

Ihobe, public company in charge of the environmental policy of the Spanish Basque Government, on behalf of the network of Basque municipalities sustainable: Udalsarea21.
The desire to react and develop projects while living in a context of budgetary constraints, as well as to find and learn from the experiences of other European partners.
Edenway relies on its perfect knowledge of the European innovation ecosystem to support Ihobe in the search for alternative financing. The set of national and European funding opportunities (H2020 programs, Interreg…) has been analyzed, and Ihobe helped to define and prioritize the possible projects to be financed.
